I just watched another Star Cinema romantic film. This time, it was the Toni Gonzaga-John Lloyd Cruz starrer, ‘My Amnesia Girl’. It was a complete surprise as I was actually thinking of a different storyline but, as always, Cathy Garcia-Molina managed to pull another magnificent creation with this film. Acting-wise, I particularly adored John Lloyd’s performance. He is very consistent with his character and he is definitely the most talented actor of this generation. Toni Gonzaga was also brilliant in this piece but more than her amazing acting, I must commend Toni’s very beautiful screen register. She looks fantastic and very refreshing in most of her scenes. I have never seen her as pretty as that and it actually makes the viewing experience a lot better.

This is one of my best films for 2010 (Pinoy category) tightly competing against Sa’yo Lamang and Miss You Like Crazy, both from Star Cinema too (although I am yet to see Rosario, Tanging Ina and Dalaw) before I can finally pick my top choice.

Anyways, I recommend this film if you’re after a new flavour to typical Pinoy RomCom. The storyline is not as huge as Miss You Like Crazy but it is enough to make you laugh, cry and fall in love over and over again.
